Vermont Wedding at Tourterelle Inn and Restaurant

Lindsey and Steve got married on the most incredible day – a series of powerful summer storms pounded Addison and Chittenden Counties for hours. I drove to their wedding prepared to use all of my rainy-day wedding photographer tricks, and I didn’t even need them.

We should have gotten SOAKED. Instead, we stayed perfectly dry as the storms swirled all around us. It didn’t start raining until everyone was safely inside Tourterelle’s beautiful pine-sided event space, dancing their feet off. As you’ll see in the photos that follow, I gauged Lindsey and Steve’s risk tolerance, and was thrilled when they agreed to come outside to use the stormy sky as a backdrop, and a metaphor.

Harbor. storm. shelter. You get it. 🙂
